I started off as a Telecoms Customer Service agent, in which Jazz Rasool trained me for several weeks before I qualified as a technical agent. As an instructor, one could clearly see the vast Knowledge Jazz had at his possession. He was extremely articulate and professional, and great at inspiring his people, me being one of them who then went on to become one of the managers. His work ethos was one to be admired and remembered. He was a credit to this company, and was a real pleasure to learn from, as well as to work with.

From the very start, working with Jazz has been an eye opening experience. The level of usable knowledge that Jazz brought to the job was invaluable. Without doubt, he brought skills and knowledge that the company, in general, lacked. Of even more value though, is his ability to make his knowledge accessible to others, which is where our interaction began. While working with Jazz, he was able to clarify a number of issues for me in a way that no one else at the company had been able. He demonstrates a calm, disciplined attitude to work; making everything he does appear very simple, even if it is not. His philosophy towards his working life is positively infectious, I can honestly say that meeting and working with Jazz has changed the way I approach both my work and personal life.

Training with Jazz was a very interesting experience. He is very innovative, he adapted the training programme to get the best results out of us when the standard format was not getting our attention or concentration. I was working with Jazz on Broadband communications where I was dealing purely with customer’s queries until our contract ended with our client and a new contract came in for Telecoms broadband technical support. It was a big change considering I didn’t have any IT experience and it was quite scary for me simply because if I didn’t pass the test my job was on the line and because I would be no use for them…

Jazz throughout my training showed great support -more than anyone else within the group of trainers I had. He helped me obtain my technical knowledge, if it weren’t for him I probably wouldn’t be in the position I am in today dealing with customer’s complaints
and high-level technical support.

Jazz was good at communicating with characters individually and also as a group I don’t think there was any body that felt threatened around Jazz when asking for help with in the group.

He managed a group of very strong characters who sometimes didn’t see the importance of remaining professional within the company’s requirements, but somehow Jazz would bring this importance back into prospective.

There were times I found my brain couldn’t handle information being fed to me as the knowledge Jazz has can be very intense and I’m sure there were a few others in the group who felt the same but in the same respect he was very good at breaking what knowledge he does have and communicating these resources and training requirements on different levels we could all understand,

If I was to recommend anybody as some form of teacher/ trainer, it would be Jazz because he knows a lot about a lot of things -not just information on technical things. He is a very honest and open guy and he’s always intrigued me because he’s enthusiasm to want to keep on learning new things and supporting those who aren’t and those who are similar to him. He’s open to communicating on personal and professional levels,

I wish him all the best in the future and I’m very appreciative of the support he gave me throughout my transfer from campaigns

Jazz was such a wonderful colleague and I learnt so much from him right from day one and till now. One thing is sure, he made his mark here.

But I will be still happy for you, because I appreciate that very few people can actually find a livelihood they love and enjoy.

Jazz trained us so well on all technical issues for broadband. I had a great time during training. Not only that but also teaching us things like 'Asking questions. Relationship and handling Energy ' which will go a long way in life.

Regarding the training period, I thoroughly enjoyed all those days and every bit of it. I really felt that I knew a lot of things when I trained under him and if those words look too generic, I learnt to think differently under him which is one point I should definitely highlight, I don’t know if that’s called lateral thinking but I developed some of that quality when training under him and yes I liked it that way

I’m sure I and many of us in the training group felt that Jazz knew a lot about lot of versatile things or so to say he knew something about everything but whenever we all said that we also happened to agree about the fact that more often than not whenever he started to talk about something out of curriculum he tended to go more in detail about that for hours sometimes, which we found difficult to take -however after training, we did realize that he fed us with a lot more than other groups, which helped us a lot.

Then whilst working with Jazz, I did enjoy it and what looked funny was he knew a lot more than an agent should be knowing (obviously because of his experience). All in all, Jazz has been a source of energy and we hope to be reflections of that.

I knew Jazz for just a few weeks and I was not aware that he was such a knowledgeable person until he helped me.

He is really nice, helpful, and the most knowledgeable person I've ever met. He has also explained Broadband faults more clearly than I ever could understand before. He also gave me some other useful tips that helped me to identify faults more quickly.

He's a good friend, and we’re going to miss him.

My job role is working in the OMD (Telecoms order management desk). I basically process orders so the end users (our customers) can receive the service they bought and they should get. My job also includes customer service, dealing with complaints, taking an active role in team exercises.

I would first like to add Jazz Rasool has a great outtake on the world as his knowledge of life and his job role was interesting and also very helpful in my day to day job role. The techniques he used during our training were a lot clearer and productive and he did a lot better than the other trainers. We always had fun activities, as the work we had to take in was very time-consuming and you could lose interest.

The skills we learnt and the productive work was a lot higher in many standards. Also we had to learn how to manage our time by working together. We had a lot of information to take in but we learnt it. Whereas the other teams had it a lot easier with open book tests, we did not have open book tests so we had to learn what job we were going to do and we passed our test with flying colours.

He has been a pleasure to work with.

I would like to say Jazz has a different method of teaching that suited the way that I learned. He was a good trainer who tried his best to ensure everyone got the benefits of what he was teaching.

Jazz has also been inspirational in teaching us how to look after our colleagues and be responsible for each other, this has taught me the benefits of teamwork and shown the results, which can be achieved, if we all work together. I am glad that he was our trainer, as I would not have learned how to be a better person with a vast amount of knowledge, had I been in one of the other groups. It has been a pleasure knowing him and being able to learn from someone who is so giving in the face of adversity, he just keep on trying to get the information across without being ‘teacher like’. I wish him all the best in the future.

When I first started with Jazz, I learned a great deal from him. He was always full of energy and I always seen him as someone who used his energy to motivate anyone who was struggling with any issues and his ability to providing perfect resolutions to some very complex issues once anyone approached him for his assistance. In my opinion he has taken the department to another level by being very helpful to others.

He would have made a great manager had he taken the option to apply for the vacant position, which was available. I respect his decision as everyone has his own plans and dreams.

He had unlimited technical knowledge and to go with that he had the experience of more than 12 years in the IT industry. I believe he was one of the most qualified and most prepared people within the company, the company could have taken a lot of advantage by giving him some challenging positions in providing learning and mentoring. He’s got the passion, which is very important ingredient and is something any organisation looks for within someone before offering a position.

Jazz has always been successful in raising the staff performance level by providing the best learning that someone can offer within the company.

Where I am today in this company is because of Jazz who has been an inspiration to my work. I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience from Jazz.

Jazz is one in a million. There is no one who can fill this gap he is leaving behind as he completes our development. He always had a smiley and friendly face.

I started in our Call Centre in September 2006, working with Jazz when he was a trainer and as a colleague he has been a rewarding experience and I will remember my time spent with Jazz fondly.

On a business level and I feel a personal level, Jazz has a way of working with and connecting with people on a number of levels, I remember lots of mental exercises throughout my training with him. Never a dull moment with his softly spoken, encouraging attitude towards people. I definitely benefited from the time spent under his wing so to speak!

I now 6-7 months later no longer work as an agent but have been promoted to a Product Specialist, giving technical advice and working as Tier 1 manager.

I wish Jazz the best of luck in the future in whatever he wishes to do; no one deserves it more.

I was working with Jazz as a 2nd line tech agent in a Broadband company before the Telecoms campaign started. I am now currently a product specialist.

I only briefly had training from Jazz when the Telecoms contract had started up. The training Jazz gave was focused on mental preparation, which involved different motivational techniques. While this can help in a busy workplace, I believed this training was irrelevant at the time however it was something different from the ordinary. In terms of training, I think Jazz needs to be more to the point and cover points quickly but also clearly as well.

I think the main issue is that Jazz was too "in depth" with talking about every point. He just needs to highlight the key areas and focus on them during a training session. In terms of knowledge and experience, Jazz has all of those qualities but the way he presents them should be done differently.

As a person to work with, Jazz is a truly lovely guy. Very friendly and extremely helpful. If you ever had a problem or needed something answered, Jazz would sit down with you and explain it. He was always there to help and would not turn his back on you if in doubt. I sincerely cannot say anything that he has done or said which would make me think negatively of him. A very positive, focused and calm individual with a smile on his face all the time. He also comes across as a very professional person.

I have been a Resolutions agent with our Telecoms/Broadband Client for six months. I received two weeks of training in Broadband Support and Customer Service by Jazz. The training was structured and was delivered well. I found Jazz's training to be of a very high standard, which prepared me successfully with the skills required for my role within the company.

After training I worked alongside Jazz on the floor and I have always looked towards him for advice. I found him very approachable and friendly; this enabled me to approach him for advice with my career decisions and personal life. I have approached him for advice on health and fitness also, the advice I received has been extremely beneficial and has made a greater impact on my life than I first realized. I consider him a friend more than a work colleague. I believe he would be an asset to any future company he works for and will undoubtedly shine a light on any individuals life he comes in contact with. It has been a pleasure meeting him and I wish him the all best for the future.
