Jazz Rasool has a background as a scientist developing practical benefits from mind-body medicine. He migrated into Stress Management and now his focus is on helping individuals and businesses. He coaches clients to help them manage energy and vitality so their potential can be fully realised.

Jazz was born in 1966 and has resided in the London area within the UK since 1970. He originally studied with the aim of becoming an Astronaut and went so far as to complete his Bachelor of Science honours degree in Physics, specialising in Astrophysics, at the University of London in 1992.

As a result of a Nuclear Physics project at the University, Jazz developed an interest in the Biology and Physics of brain function. He had specific interest in how consciousness and emotions influenced Mind-Body illness and Well-being. The compelling relationship between Molecular Biology, Nuclear Physics and Biochemistry inspired Jazz to enroll on a postgraduate Master of Science degree at the University of London in Computer Modeling of Molecular and Biological Processes, specialising in the study of drugs that affected brain chemistry, consciousness and mind-body interactions.

After his MSc. graduation in 1993, Jazz began to study NLP and Hypnosis. He graduated as a practitioner under the tutelage of NLP's creator Richard Bandler and also Paul McKenna and Michael Breen. During the next 8 years he presented lectures and workshops internationally within universities, colleges and private institutions. He specialised in mind-body medicine and promoting methods to harness mind-body effects. During this time he set up the Bodymind Consultancy to promote scientific and medical approaches to boosting mind-body health.

One of the primary areas where Jazz studied and utilised mind-body effects was within Martial Arts and Chinese Medicine. In 2001, Jazz graduated with a Masters in Medical Qigong, the branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that studies and transforms energy flows between mind and body. In 2002, he began to research its applications in building Human Vitality and Well-being. He went on to develop new tools and processes that could be used to manage Energy in Life-Coaching, Executive Coaching and ultimately in larger organisational level change programmes. Jazz developed a focus on improving peoples experience of Vitality, not just for maintaining good health but also for improving bottom-line performance and productivity in business and society.

After a private presentation in Los Angeles, USA in front of United Nations committee members, Jazz was invited to present at the 2002 Global Peace Summit at the UN in Geneva, Switzerland on how human vitality would be affected by Climate Change. There he worked alongside the Secretary-General Bawa Jain as well as UN Good Will ambassadors, actresses Linda Gray (who played Sue Ellen in the ‘Dallas’ TV series) and Lindsay Wagner (who played Jaime Sommers in the TV series ‘The Bionic Woman’).

Jazz’s first commercial coaching work was for 100 international directors to experience Vitality at Unilever’s 2004 Re-branding conference in London in which Unilever associated the branding of its products and services with the theme of Vitality. In 2005, improving Vitality and Performance was also a goal when, as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, he provided induction training for customer service and technical staff of Cable & Wireless and British Telecom Broadband ADSL services. Jazz has also done stress management training with the staff and executives of Client Logic and Sitel, two of the world’s largest call-centre management companies. In January 2007 Jazz’s experience in Stress Management led him to be invited to present a course at the counselling centre HELP in London, set up by the founder of the Virgin corporation, Richard Branson. In the last 14 years Jazz has delivered coaching or training to over 10,000 people.

Jazz currently lives in London. Jazz spends his spare time developing his own potential and teaches Fitness Instructors, as well as Tai Chi teachers and students on best practice of Qigong, the Energy development system at the heart of Tai Chi. In February 2007 he demonstrated energy management exercises on many episodes of the TV health show ‘Fit for Life’ on the major Caribbean channel, CNC3. Using his training as a YMCA Fitness Instructor Jazz helps Personal Trainers to provide their clients with Energy Management techniques within Circuit Training and Fitness Classes. His prime focus is on helping individuals and businesses develop their potential using his development approach, Energy Diamond Coaching.
